A Monthly Report of China Agrochemical Supply - Predictive Analysis of China AIs Price Trend
In 2022, China’s economy is heavily influenced by COVID-19. China's GDP growth reached 3.9% year-on-year in the third quarter of 2022. The whole China economy recovered to a weaker extent due to the recurring impact of the domestic pandemic. The de-propertyisation and a sustainable economy through innovation are happening in China. The rebound in infrastructure especially in the chemical industry is empowering the country's development. Moreover, we still do not have an idea when China would re-open the gate. From the information up to now, the re-open would come by the end of 2023.
The total supply market of China agrochemicals is lack vitality. Supply stocks of glyphosate and glufosinate, two burn-down herbicides, are moving higher. Meanwhile, supply stocks of Clomazone, Oxyfluorfen, and Clethodim are at normal levels. For fungicides, demand for triazoles was weak and prices for most products were gradually stabilizing and reducing. Demand for nicotine insecticides is soft and the overall trend was downward. Against the backdrop of increasing stocks in overseas markets, geopolitical risks posed additional challenges to Chinese exports. The lower CNY currency has certainly brought some advantages to the prices of Chinese products, but in the long term, a significant devaluation of the CNY is difficult to occur. The overall environment in which Chinese pesticide production operates stably. Before the end of the year, the main influencing factor will be the only impact of the COVID-19 pandemic inside China.
In order to provide my friends with a complete understanding of the basic situation of pesticide supply in China today, the SPM team is sharing our monthly report called “Dashboard of China Agrochemical Supply”. The November report is based on the publicly available part of our monthly report service for multinational companies. We have not made public the forecast analysis, the availability of AIs, and the analysis of key suppliers.
The content of the November report is divided into four main sections. Firstly, we will give you a basic overview of China's pesticide exports and supply. We will then list the key challenges and drivers at the moment, and the important implications that follow.
